I want to give you an honest review of the Perfect Pullup. I use it and love it but let me give you a total overview.
I have been using Perfect Pullup for 3 weeks now. I do the Australian pull ups for my routine and follow these with pull ups using the handles with the bar in the top position. In 3 weeks I have doubled the number of regular chin ups I can do. Getting back to what I could do way back when I was in the army. The Australian pull ups look easy on t.v. but are anything but. The premise being they will build your strength so you can do regular pull ups and they do that.
One of the big reasons I bought this was the ab straps. I wanted to work my abs thoroughly and felt hanging knee ups and leg raises would do the trick. Now the straps do allow you to perform many more than you can do hanging onto the bar, but they hurt! They are not comfortable and they hurt the arms, shoulders and my back. I’m a bit disappointed with this aspect of it.
They also said you get an installation template and I did not. It said install the top brackets and measure down for the bottom ones. Not that hard but a template would definitely have been nice.
Having said that, I love the unit. I feel pumped and can feel the strength in my upper body. I do these pull ups 3 times a week with push ups on my exercise ball on 3 alternating days. Sundays off. I recommend this. I have it hanging in a doorway in our hallway and on pull up days, I do regular pull ups during the day as well.
My Perfect Pullup review is based on actual usage and I am not a distributor. I just really like it.
