Is the hindu pushup the best exercise ever?

I imagine it depends on who you talk to. I think there are certain exercises everyone should include in their routine and this is one of them. As to whether or not it is better than pull ups; I could argue against that.

However, I highly recommend the hindu pushup. One benefit is you can do these anywhere with no equipment. When I go on a trip with the family, I always do a lot of these and/or the dive bombers (see below).

Basically you get down into a push up position but your butt is up in the air and the legs are spread wide. When you dip, you are going to go to the floor and continue to extend through your grip until you are stretching with your head up and feet and chest almost touching the ground.

Now for the hindu push up, you simply push yourself back to the starting position. For dive bombers you reverse the movement and return to the starting position.
