Dumbbell Tricep Extension on Exercise Ball

Filed under: Exercise Ball, arm exercises; Author: Bob; Posted: September 21, 2009 at 1:43 pm;

This is a great exercise for building the tricep muscles. You can do it using both dumbbells at one time (a barbell can be used but I recommend a training partner) or use one dumbbell at a time. I like the single dumbbells because once I have exhausted my arm, I can use the other arm to help cheat for further growth.

Simply lay with your back on the exercise ball. Spread your feet wide in the beginning until you are use to the exercise ball, then bring in closer for targeting the core muscles. To begin the arms are extended with the palms facing in. Lower the dumbbells to around your ear, then press back up to the starting position.

The palms face in throughout the entire movement.
